Dockerize the Folding@Home project

Folding@home is a project focused on disease research. The problems they are solving require so many computer calcul­ations – and they need your help to find the cures! The Folding@home software allows you to share your unused computer power with them, they can research even more potential cures.

So, what is folding? Folding refers to the way human protein folds in the cells that make up your body. We rely on the proteins to keep us healthy and they assemble themselves by folding. But when they misfold, there can be serious consequences to a person’s health.

This container allows you to take advantage of the Folding@Home project without installing or configuring any additional software. If you previously installed Folding@Home elsewhere, you can use your own config.xml file: $ docker container run -d --name "folding-at-home" -v $(path_to_config.xml)/config.xml twizda/fah:7.6.13

Otherwise, you can proceed with defaults: $ docker container run -d --name "folding-at-home" twizda/fah:7.6.13
