ubuntu/temporal-ui repository overview

ubuntu/temporal-ui is a rock for temporal-ui maintained by Canonical.

The Temporal UI provides a browser-based user interface for Temporal, allowing users to view Workflow Execution state, metadata, and debug their Temporal applications.

Temporal UI Server Configuration

Temporal UI server must be provided with a configuration file to start up successfully. We do not include any default configurations in the image. Instead, we expect the user to either add a configuration file in the deployed container or mount a volume with the config file in the container. Some development configuration files can be found in the Temporal UI repository.

Get started

This rock's entrypoint is Pebble, a container-optimized init process that enables the orchestration of a collection of local service processes as an organized set.

Inspect

To view the Pebble services and checks defined in this rock:

docker run --rm ubuntu/temporal-ui:2.39.0-24.04_edge plan
Run

To run this rock, use any of the usual container runtimes, for example, docker:

docker run --name temporal-ui-container \
    -d -p 8081:8081 -v <path>:/home/ui-server/config -e TEMPORAL_ROOT=/home/ui-server -e TEMPORAL_ENVIRONMENT=production \
    ubuntu/temporal-ui:2.39.0-24.04_edge

The Temporal UI is started by Pebble and serves the UI on port 8081.

To obtain a runnable configuration, refer to the official repository.

Get logs

To view the logs of the running container, run:

docker exec temporal-ui-container pebble logs

Or, for a specific service:

docker exec temporal-ui-container pebble logs <service>
Monitor health checks

Rocks may have predefined health checks that you can list by running:

docker exec temporal-ui-container pebble checks

The overall health of your container can be inspected via:
