⁠How to use this image

⁠Building the image

docker build \
    -t ultraxime/papermc \
   .

When no option are specified, the image will build the 1.20.2 version of paper.
To change this behavior, you should specified the option --build-arg MINECRAFT_VERSION=<version> when building the image.
It have to be noted that we are running Java 21, some older version of paper may not compile.

⁠Starting an instance

    docker run \
        --name papermc-instance \
        -p 0.0.0.0:25565:25565 \
        -d \
        -it \
        -e MINECRAFT_EULA=true \
        ultraxime/papermc

When starting a PaperMC instance, you must agree to the terms stated in Minecraft's EULA. This can be done by setting the MINECRAFT_EULA variable to true. Without this, the server will not run.

This image exposes the standard minecraft port (25565).

It is highly preferred to start the container with -it. This is needed in order to allow executing console commands via docker exec. This also allows PaperMC to safely shutdown when stopping the container via docker stop.
