Presentation

Web images based on umanit/php images.

The following tools are installed:

  • bash
  • composer (v1.7.2 until PHP 7.2 ; v1.8.5 after PHP 7.2)
  • curl
  • git
  • subversion
  • openssh
  • openssl
  • mercurial
  • zlib-dev

The following PHP configuration is made:

  • memory_limit = 256M
    • For composer, the limit is -1
  • date.timezone = Europe/Paris
  • upload_max_filesize = 200M
  • post_max_size = 500M

Some aliases are in place:

  • ll='ls -alhs'
  • la='ls -A'
  • l='ls -CF'
  • ls='ls --color=auto'

Builds commands

  • make all
  • OR
  • docker build --no-cache -t umanit/web:5.6 -f ./5.6/Dockerfile . && docker push umanit/web:5.6
  • docker build --no-cache -t umanit/web:7.0 -f ./7.0/Dockerfile . && docker push umanit/web:7.0
  • docker build --no-cache -t umanit/web:7.1 -f ./7.1/Dockerfile . && docker push umanit/web:7.1
  • docker build --no-cache -t umanit/web:7.2 -f ./7.2/Dockerfile . && docker push umanit/web:7.2
  • docker build --no-cache -t umanit/web:7.3 -f ./7.3/Dockerfile . && docker push umanit/web:7.3

Notes

We used composer Dockerfile.

By default, xdebug extension is enable because of umanit/php. With umanit/web, we disable it to gain performance. If you need to use it, just set the ENABLE_XDEBUG environment variable to 1 before building the image.

On macOS a dynamic host host.docker.internal match the host machine. It's not available on Linux, so we add it.

A user umanit is created and used to launch php-fpm. The default UID is 1000 but it can be override with the build ARG USER_ID.
