This is built from centos:latest (7)

i wanted a container with all the software in so i could do everything inside the container without linking - a quick and dirty environment - not very micro services ;-)

On running the container it will by default download the (present) latest versions of

vault (vault_0.3.0_linux_amd64.zip) from https://dl.bintray.com/mitchellh/vault/⁠ packer (packer_0.8.6_linux_amd64.zip) from https://dl.bintray.com/mitchellh/packer/⁠ otto (otto_0.1.1_linux_amd64.zip) from https://dl.bintray.com/mitchellh/otto/⁠ terraform (terraform_0.6.3_linux_amd64.zip) from https://dl.bintray.com/mitchellh/terraform/⁠

and place you in a shell once the zip files have been downloaded and unpacked in /usr/local/bin

If the version changes then start your container with the --env VAULT_VERSION=X.X.X or/and TERRAFORM_VERSION=X.X.X etc.. this will download that version of the software (as long as the filename format hasn't changed) and place you in a shell.

if you want to know if your version of the software is the latest simple run " version" (where software is packer or vault etc..) when in the container and it will tell you if the version is out of date.

You can also manually download the hashicorp software once in the container by running the download_hashicorp.sh script (after setting the environment variables VAULT_VERSION or/and OTTO_VERSION etc.. as required based on the output of version).
