This container will have updated builds on Quay.io⁠

This container comes installed with the watchme⁠ software, which allows for reproducible monitoring for research. You can use watchme to run scheduled tasks, or on the fly. As an example, to monitor a task inside of your container with Singularity, you might use one of these as your bases:

FROM vanessa/watchme:latest
RUN ...

And then pull down into a singularity container:

singularity pull --name watchme.sif <username>/<reponame>

And then let's say you have a python script located at /opt/run.py in the container. You might monitor it like this, and save results to a file analysis.json:

$ singularity run watchme.sif watchme monitor --seconds 1 python /opt/run.py > analysis.json
