⁠VAST DataEngine – Controller Manager

⁠Introduction

This image runs the VAST DataEngine controller-manager, the Kubernetes operator at the heart of the VAST DataEngine control plane. It acts as the mediator between VAST-defined objects (functions, triggers, function-deployments, and pipelines) and their concrete deployment on a Kubernetes cluster, translating them into native Kubernetes resources and continuously reconciling desired against actual state.

Published as vastdataorg/vast-dataengine-controller-manager. The latest tag tracks the most recent GA release; pin a specific version with vastdataorg/vast-dataengine-controller-manager:TAG.

⁠What it does

• Reconciles VAST DataEngine custom resources (functions, triggers, function-deployments, and pipelines) into Kubernetes-native objects.
• Manages tenants and the Kafka brokers backing event-driven pipelines.
• Keeps deployments consistent by reconciling desired vs. actual state on every change.
