The control file
/etc/monit/monitrcmust have permissions no more than-rwx------ (0700)
Server Setup
$ cd ~/fig/monit/
$ docker-compose up -d
$ docker exec monit_monit_1 monit status

$ firefox http://admin:monit@server:2812
