⁠Circle CI build image

This project is a Docker image with the tools needed to build a typical micro service at Vimond. The purpose of it is to use it with Circle CI 2.0⁠ to avoid downloading and installing required tools as part of the build process (thus wasting time).

⁠Getting Started

Refer to the image as vimond/vimond-micros-build-image in your .circleci/config.yml:

⁠Tools included in this image

The image offers the following tools (among others):

• Java SDK, Gradle, Maven
• node.js and npm
• Python and pip
• sphinx
• make

⁠Adding more tools

If you need some tools from this image, feel free to add them (unless you're not a member of this organization in which case you'll need to create a PR).

Try to keep the number of steps in the Dockerfile to a minimum and possibly clean up after yourself.

⁠Building

The image gets built automatically by Docker Hub⁠ and this is also where you will download it from.

To build it locally, run

docker build -t vimond-micros-build-image .
