A Helloworld microservice implemented in node js using express that is best suited for testing network topologies. See my git repo for the full usage. Once deployed, I can use curl against the service endpoint to determine which backend is replying. For example, in a Kubernetes cluster, I deployed Helloworld to three different AZs, each running one pod. The Service fronts all three. When I test the topology:
for i in {1..99}; do
curl 192.168.96.40/version
done | sort | uniq -c
I see that it is treating each AZ equally.
