⁠To run this web application as a pod on Kubernetes

kubectl run webapp --image=vineethac/python-flask-simple-webapp -n default

⁠To port forward the application from your localhost

kubectl port-forward pod/webapp -n default 8080:5000

⁠From the localhost machine you can open another terminal and verify

❯ curl http://127.0.0.1:8080      
Welcome to flask!  
❯   
❯ curl http://127.0.0.1:8080/hello  
Hello, this is a response from flask!
