Container for ASAP (https://github.com/GeertLitjens/ASAP)

ASAP (https://github.com/GeertLitjens/ASAP) "is an open source platform for visualizing, annotating and automatically analyzing whole-slide histopathology images. It consists of several key-components (slide input/output, image processing, viewer) which can be used separately. It is built on top of several well-developed open source packages like OpenSlide, Qt and OpenCV but also tries to extend them in several meaningful ways."
This docker image provides a convenient way for running ASAP, as long as you do not need accessing its libraries for your own development projects. ASAP runs as regular user "vlad" inside the container and an easy way to allow it accessing your home directory is to start the container such as
docker run --rm -it -v ${HOME}:${HOME} -u $(id -u ${USER}):$(id -u vlad) --net=host --env="DISPLAY" --security-opt apparmor=unconfined vladpopovici/asap:2.1 /opt/ASAP/bin/ASAP
