⁠Node.js Docker Images

This repository contains Docker images for Node.js development environments with multiple package managers pre-installed. The images are particularly suitable for CI/CD usage.

⁠Available Images

⁠Node.js 22 (Dockerfile-node22)

• Base Image: node:22-slim
• Node.js Version: 22.x
• Package Managers: npm, yarn v1, pnpm v10, bun

⁠Node.js 24 (Dockerfile-node24)

• Base Image: node:24-slim
• Node.js Version: 24.x
• Package Managers: npm, yarn v1, pnpm v10, bun

⁠Features

Each Docker image includes:

• OpenSSL: For secure communications
• OpenSSH Client: For Git operations and secure connections
• Corepack: Node.js package manager manager (enabled by default)
• Multiple Package Managers:
  • npm (included with Node.js)
  • Yarn v1 (via Corepack)
  • pnpm v10 (via Corepack)
  • Bun (latest version)

⁠Usage

⁠Building the Images

# Build Node.js 22 image
docker build -f Dockerfile-node22 -t nodejs-dev:22 .

# Build Node.js 24 image
docker build -f Dockerfile-node24 -t nodejs-dev:24 .

⁠Running a Container

# Run Node.js 22 container
docker run -it --rm nodejs-dev:22 /bin/bash

# Run Node.js 24 container
docker run -it --rm nodejs-dev:24 /bin/bash

# Run with volume mounting for development
docker run -it --rm -v $(pwd):/workspace -w /workspace nodejs-dev:22 /bin/bash

⁠Using Different Package Managers

Once inside the container, you can use any of the pre-installed package managers:

# Using npm
npm install
npm run dev

# Using yarn
yarn install
yarn dev

# Using pnpm
pnpm install
pnpm dev

# Using bun
bun install
bun dev
