webabilityio/mcp repository overview

WebAbility Accessibility MCP Server

Scan web pages and HTML for WCAG 2.2, ADA, Section 508 and EAA accessibility issues from any MCP client. Get structured fixes with selectors and WCAG criteria, then verify each fix with a re-scan.

Homepage: webability.io · Setup docs: webability.io/mcp · Source: GitHub · npm: @webability/mcp

Fastest option: hosted server (no Docker)

{ "mcpServers": { "webability": { "url": "https://mcp.webability.io/mcp" } } }

Scan and check tools work without an account or key. A free WebAbility account unlocks visual_audit, start_audit and get_audit.

Run locally with Docker (stdio)

docker run -i --rm webabilityio/mcp:latest

Client config:

{ "mcpServers": { "webability": { "command": "docker", "args": ["run", "-i", "--rm", "webabilityio/mcp:latest"] } } }

The image includes headless Chromium (Playwright) for page scans.

Tools

  • scan_page: scan a live URL with three engines (WebAbility detectors, axe-core, HTML_CodeSniffer)
  • scan_html: scan raw HTML or a component without serving it
  • verify_fix, diff_scan: confirm a fix and compare two scans
  • flow_scan: scan a multi-page user journey
  • check_color_contrast, check_aria, detect_framework, get_rules
  • generate_ai_fix: framework-aware fix options

License
