webstop/jekyll repository overview

To use, simply go to your jekyll project's directory then execute jekyll commands as follows:

$ docker run -ti --rm -v "$(pwd):/myapp" 'webstop/jekyll:latest' jekyll build

or

$ docker run -ti --rm -v "$(pwd):/myapp" -p 4000:4000 'webstop/jekyll:latest' jekyll server --host 0.0.0.0

Note that the --host 0.0.0.0 is necessary in order for jekyll to responde to remote requests since jekyll is running in a container (in a VM).

The Dockerfile is:

FROM ruby:2.2.6
EXPOSE 4000
WORKDIR /myapp
COPY Gemfile Gemfile.lock ./
RUN bundle install
