Google Chrome with matching ChromeDriver for WebSummoner. VNC and audio built in.
796
Google Chrome, current stable line, with ChromeDriver, matched to the exact Chrome build, on the WebSummoner browser base. VNC, PulseAudio for recordings with sound, clipboard and file exchange are built in; there are no separate vnc_ variants. Every version is built from the public sources in the images repository and passes the WebSummoner container test suite before it is tagged.
| Browser | Google Chrome, current stable line |
| Driver | ChromeDriver, matched to the exact Chrome build |
| Base | websummoner/browser-base (Ubuntu 26.04 LTS) with Xvfb, fluxbox, x11vnc, PulseAudio and full font coverage |
| Runs as | selenium |
| Ports | 4444 WebDriver · 5900 VNC (when ENABLE_VNC=true) · 8080 file server for downloads · 9090 clipboard · 7070 DevTools |
Pick a tag from the Tags tab and reference it from browsers.json:
{ "chrome": { "default": "<tag>", "versions": { "<tag>": { "image": "websummoner/chrome:<tag>", "port": "4444", "path": "/" } } } }
Then start a session with browserName: "chrome" against the hub; every WebSummoner capability (enableVNC, enableVideo, enableAudio, screenResolution, env, …) applies. CH_POLICY_<NAME> variables become Chrome enterprise policies; DevTools are proxied on port 7070 for the se:cdp endpoint the hub advertises.
Set by the hub per session, or by you when running the image on its own:
| Variable | Effect |
|---|---|
SCREEN_RESOLUTION | display size and depth, default 1920x1080x24; the hub sets it from the screenResolution capability |
ENABLE_VNC | true starts x11vnc on 5900 (password websummoner); the hub sets it from enableVNC |
ENABLE_AUDIO | set by the hub from enableAudio; PulseAudio runs regardless, so recordings carry sound |
ROOT_CA_<NAME> | a Base64 PEM certificate installed into the browser's trust store at start; PRIVATE_KEY_PASS for a bundled key |
DRIVER_ARGS, VERBOSE | extra driver flags; VERBOSE=1 adds --verbose |
| Tag | Meaning |
|---|---|
MAJOR (e.g. 152) | the line — moves to the newest patch the vendor publishes |
MAJOR.MINOR | alias of the line |
| full version | one exact build with its matching driver, immutable — the version badge above shows the newest |
New versions are published here only; the historical selenoid/* images stay usable from browsers.json. The full scheme: Image tags.
