Built with Flask and Python, the Chat Room App offers real-time group conversations in a browser environment. Users can create and join rooms, engage in instant messaging, and receive real-time updates. The cross-platform compatibility ensures smooth usage across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

To get started use the command:

$ docker run -p 5000:5000 chat-room:web-app

Next go to http://127.0.0.1:5000⁠ in your browser.

⁠Accessing the Chat Room

• Enter a Username: You will be prompted to enter a username. This will be your display name in the chat room.
• Join a Room: After entering your username, you can join an existing chat room or create a new one.

⁠Using the Chat Room

• Send Messages: Once in the room, you can type messages and send them. All users in the room will see your messages.
• View Participants: You will see a list of active participants in the room.
• Switch Rooms: You can leave the room and join another by using the room selection interface.

⁠Logging Out

To log out of a chat room or leave, simply close the browser or click the logout button.
