This Docker image provides a lightweight Firefox ESR instance running on Alpine Linux, optimized for ARM-based Peplink Edge Compute Devices. It is accessible via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) using the InTouch feature.
Open the Web Admin or Remote Web Admin interface for your Peplink router.
Navigate to the Advanced tab.
Install the Docker Image:
Click on Docker.
Type in westnetdocker/peplink-firefox-alpine-arm.
Click OK and wait for the image to be installed.
Run the Docker Container:
Click the Plus Sign (+) to add a new container.
Use one of the following Docker commands:
Without a custom password:
docker run --name nameofcontainer -p 3389:3389 westnetdocker/firefox-arm
With a custom password:
docker run --name nameofcontainer -p 3389:3389 -e PASSWORD=yourcustompassword westnetdocker/firefox-arm
Replace nameofcontainer with a desired name for your container.
If you do not specify a custom password, the default credentials (peplink / peplink) will be used.
Note: Special characters (e.g., &, !, #) in custom passwords may cause issues due to shell interpretation. Enclose the password in single quotes (e.g., 'my&pass') when running manually.
Port 3389 is exposed for RDP access via InTouch.
Use --ip x.x.x.x to set a custom IP address.
Use --network vlan10 to set the container on VLAN 10.
