GUI & CLI Tools Desktop for ARM Peplink Edge Compute Devices
Overview
This Docker image provides a lightweight desktop environment with a suite of command-line network tools and Speedtest CLI along with Firefox, optimized for ARM-based Peplink Edge Compute Devices. It includes utilities like iperf3, nmap, tcpdump, speedtest, and more, along with a graphical interface accessible via RDP.

How to Run the Docker Container
Access the Web Admin Interface:
Open the Web Admin or Remote Web Admin interface for your Peplink router.
Navigate to the Advanced tab.
Install the Docker Image:
Click on Docker .
Click Here to Pull Image .
Type in westnetdocker/peplink-cli-tools-arm.
Click OK and wait for the image to be installed.
Run the Docker Container:
Click the Plus Sign (+) to add a new container.
Use one of the following Docker commands:
Without a custom password:
docker run --name nameofcontainer -p 3389:3389 -p 22:22 westnetdocker/peplink-cli-tools-arm

With a custom password:
docker run --name nameofcontainer -p 3389:3389 -p 22:22 -e PASSWORD=yourcustompassword westnetdocker/peplink-cli-tools-arm

Replace nameofcontainer with a desired name for your container.
If you do not specify a custom password, the default credentials (peplink / peplink) will be used.
Note: Port 22 is exposed for SSH access in addition to 3389 for RDP.
Use --ip x.x.x.x to set a custom IP address.
Use --network vlan10 to put the container on VLAN 10.
Grab the IP Address:
Note the IP address assigned to the container.
Connecting to CLI Tools Desktop
Configure InTouch for RDP:
Open the InTouch interface and click Add .
Change the connection type to RDP .
Enter the following details:
Username: peplink
IP Address: The container’s IP address
Password: The default (peplink) or your custom password
Port: 3389
Save changes.
Hit the Play Button in InTouch to establish the connection.
Direct Access via RDP:
Use any Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client to connect directly to the container.
Enter the container's IP address, username (peplink), password (default or custom), and port 3389 to connect.
Access via SSH (Optional):
Use an SSH client (e.g., PuTTY or terminal) or InTouch (SSH) to connect:
IP Address: The container’s IP address
Username: peplink
Password: The default (peplink) or your custom password
Port: 22
Once connected, you can use the CLI tools directly in the terminal.
