willopez/vim repository overview

A docker container based on Ubuntu 14.04 to run my vim distribution.

In some cases it is infeasible to run a vim distribution on a particular host OS, for this reason this container was created.

⁠Usage

I. Install docker

Instructions maybe found on docker.com

II. Pull this image

docker pull willopez/vim

III. Run container as a deamon

docker run -d -P --name webapp -v hostpath/webapp/src:/containerpath/webapp/src willopez/vim /bin/bash

IV. "SSH" into container

docker exec -it webapp bash

V. Use vim
