Workers.io VMs for simulation testing

Runtime environment image for running Workers IO simulation workloads.
This image is used by the @workersio/cli for local simulation runs and by managed
Workers IO worker environments. It packages the runtime binary, guest runtime
artifacts, project preparation tools, and workload execution dependencies into a
single Linux amd64 container.
docker pull workersio/env:latest
Immutable commit tags are also published:
docker pull workersio/env:sha-<git-sha>
Most users should run this image through the WIO CLI instead of invoking Docker directly:
wio switch local
wio local start
wio simulate create
In local mode, WIO starts the environment container, mounts the current Git project into it, prepares the project, and runs the same simulation flow used by managed Workers IO execution. Local mode does not send project or workload state to Workers IO cloud services.
Switch back to managed cloud execution when needed:
wio switch cloud
Mount a persistent volume at /wenv:
docker volume create wio-runtime
docker run --rm -v wio-runtime:/wenv workersio/env:latest --help
Direct Docker usage is mainly for runtime validation and infrastructure integration.
