worldvista/foiacovid repository overview

This image is built on the June 2020 FOIA release of VistA and it is running on YottaDB.

You need to install Docker first. The installation is easiest on Windows 10 Professional, recent Macs, and any Linux. The machines should have virtualization activated in the BIOS or Docker will not install. If you don't have Windows 10 Professional or an older Mac (< 2012), you will need to use Docker Toolbox. It's less reliable, but worth a try. Your docker IP address is localhost or if you run regular docker, or 192.168.99.100 on Docker Toolbox. Go here to get Docker. https://www.docker.com/community-edition and download and install docker.

To Start run and start up the Docker image, foiacovid

Run this first to download the worldvista/foiacovid docker image. This will require several minutes before the system completes the setup. On a faster Internet connection, it should take about 1-2 minutes.

docker run -d -p 2222:22 -p 8001:8001 -p 8080:8080 -p 9430:9430 -P --name=foiacovid worldvista/foiacovid

Once it is done, wait 10 seconds. Then, To get into roll and scroll, type

docker exec -it foiacovid su - foia

This will drop you into the user foia's environment. Typing mumps -dir and hitting enter will get you to the MUMPS prompt, YDB>.

The first thing you will need to do is to REINDEX the REMINDER INDEX before the Yellow COVID Banner will work in CPRS.

This is how you reindex REMINDERS:

[foia@338e541e3e0f ~]$ mumps -dir

FOIA>S DUZ=1 D ^XUP

Setting up programmer environment.
This is a TEST account.

Terminal Type set to: C-VT220

You have 12505 new messages.
Select OPTION NAME: PXRM INDEX BUILD Clinical Reminders Index Build
Clinical Reminders Index Build
Rebuilding an index will stop all evaluation, dialogs,
reminder order checks, and anything using reminder evaluation!
Are you sure you want to proceed?

Rebuild index and disable reminder evaluation? N// YES

Which indexes do you want to (re)build?
1 - LABORATORY TEST (CH, Anatomic Path, Micro)
    2 - MENTAL HEALTH
    3 - MENTAL HEALTH (MHA3)
    4 - ORDER
    5 - PTF
    6 - PHARMACY PATIENT

   14 - V PATIENT ED
   15 - V POV
   16 - V SKIN TEST
   17 - VITAL MEASUREMENT
Enter your list (1-17): 1-17
Do you want this to be tesked? Y// NO
Started job 1044 to check for completion of the rebuilding

There will be about 200 lines of terminal output that follows. Then you can enter h at the prompts and go out and re-enter MUMPS with mumps -dir and enter D ^ZU at the YDB> mumps prompt

YDB> D ^ZU

and to log in using the ACCESS and VERIFY codes below.

|USER |ACCESS CODE|VERIFY CODE|ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE| | :---------------- : |:------------------------: |:------------------------:|:-----------------------------------------:| |Robert Alexander|fakedoc1|1Doc!@#$|ROBA123| |Mary Smith (Nurse) |fakenurse1|1Nur!@#$|MARYS123| |Joe Clerk (Clerk) |fakeclerk1|1Cle!@#$|CLERKJ123|

If that fails, you can ssh into the environment. On Windows Win 10 release, there is a command line ssh. On Linus or a MAC, use the terminal. Enter the command as follows:

ssh -p 2222 foiacovid@localhost The Password is tied

You can also access the container using an SSH client such as PuTTY by using the IP address of the host or localhost address as described in the note above and using the correct port 2222 for SSH (normally port 22) for container install. PuTTY can be found here: https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html

Programmer (i.e. Direct) mode can be reached using either:

docker exec -it wvdashboard su - wvdashboard -c 'mumps -dir'

 or

 ssh -p 2222 wvprog@localhost with password prog.

To get into the Linux instance as root

ssh -p 2222 root@localhost Password is docker.

You can download the CPRS files in a preconfigured VistA Directory here:

https://opensourcevista.net/NancysVistAServer/CPRS-31BFilesForCOVID-BannerDemo.zip

Unzip and it will contain a VistA directory to be put in C:\Program Files (x86) directory and then make a shortcut to the C:\Program Files (x86)\VistA\CPRSChart-31B by right clicking on the file and choosing Create Shortcut. You will probably be asked to put it on the Desktop. Right click on the Desktop Shortcut you created and choose Properties. At the end of the target line in Properties, put a space and then S= followed by the IP of the host machine for the server portion of VistA followed by a space and then P=9430, a space and then CCOW=disable and the optional space followed by showrpcs

For instance, you might have this on the target line for the shortcut (this is all on one line in the shortcut properties) if you are running docker on the same Windows machine:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VistA\CPRSChart-31B.exe" S=localhost P=9430 CCOW=disable showrpcs

To stop the container, type “docker stop foiacovid” without the quotes. To restart the container, type “docker restart foiacovid”. Any changes you made will still be there. To delete the container, type “docker rm foiacovid”. You will lose all your data. To delete the downloaded image, type “docker rmi foiavovid”. If you do docker run... again, you will have to download it again.
