โ SuccessFactors Toolkit

Query SAP SuccessFactors OData and Compound Employee from a local AI agent through MCP, or use the REST API.

โ Start with the guide

Follow the Docker MCP guideโ  for image verification, credentials, agent configuration, questions, and exports. An offline HTML guide with English/Chinese selectionโ  is also available.

  1. Select a published version from GitHub Releasesโ . Verify its signed image provenance and use its fixed digest before mounting credentials.
  2. Keep sf.env and tenant key/certificate files in a local credentials folder; mount the key directory read-only.
  3. Configure your AI agent to launch python -m successfactors_toolkit.mcp_server inside Docker over stdio. The default container command starts REST; MCP does not need a published port.
  4. Ask for scoped queries. The guide mounts a local data folder at /data and sets RESULTS_DIR=/data; raw exports appear in data/mcp/.
  5. OData writes JSON; Compound Employee writes XML. A file-capable local AI agent can convert to CSV or other formats and save to another authorized folder.

โ Data security

Prefer local Docker and a local AI client over online platforms for employee data and credentials. Never upload private keys or HR payloads to online platforms. A local client can still call a cloud model: use a locally hosted model and local file tools when data must remain within your controlled environment. The toolkit connects to your configured SuccessFactors tenant.
