SCP:Secret Laboratory Sever + MultiAdminWelp, yeah, thats it, this is a SCP:SL+ MA docker image for public usage. Take in consideration that this is still EXPERIMENTAL.
(MANUALLY):
You'll have boot the container and expose the port 7777.
login with Interactive Mode + TTY. (the -it parameter).
You can do the previous 2 steps in one command:
docker create -it -p 7777:7777 xenium/scpls
Make a First Launch of the server so the server generates some fresh config files.
mono MultiAdmin.exe → wait everything looks done → [CTRL] + [C] → wait 2 seconds → [Q]
Start the server normally.
./start_server.sh MultiAdmin.exe → [ENTER]
(PORTAINER).
Create a container with the tag xenium/scpsl and make sure that the "Console" is set to "Interactive & TTY (-i -t)".
Go to Console and press Connect.
And you would be wondering, why is this so weird and difficult?? Well, let me explain something.
Docker is meant to process a service which is not gonna be affected by external modifications, aaaand
this is not the case, due that you want to config your server files, or even update the game iself (this feature is implemented but i dont recommend it), you are modifying the container. So, the process that docker is attached to is
to some masterlog.txt that i've made, docker will print the output of that log using the command tail, so this way you can restart stop update or modify or do whatever you want to do to your server without actually stopping the container.
Once logged in, you'll be thrown into /XENIUM/scp_server which is the path where the server is installed.
./start_server.sh MultiAdmin.exe: This script that is located on the path mentioned before starts the server. It also recieves on the parameter the "server manager" to load, for now i would recommend using MultiAdmin.exe due that the default manager is still in an experimental status. Also, if the server is running and you try to start it again it will restart so you can use this to reload configuration files.
./stop_server.sh: Stops the server if running.
./manager.sh: (VERY VERY EXPERIMENTAL, DONT TOUCH, Nnno! nnoo!, don't touch it! don't dewit! don't!) Updates the server version in case theres a game/server update. Requires steam credentials (username & password) and that the user that logs in has a subscription to the game (has the SCP:SL game in their library). The game can be updated on-the-launch putting the UPDATE_GAME ENV variable to true, and setting up STEAM_USERNAME, STEAM_PASSWORD ENV variables with the account's credentials.
top: Basic GNU/Linux command to see what the hecc is going on. You exit pressing Q.
nano: Basic GNU/Linux command interface to edit text files. You use this to edit the config.
Easy, using nano.
/XENIUM/scp_server/servers/server1/config.txt: MultiAdmin config file./root/.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/: Game config folder. Don't forget to put your email if you want to expose your server. Don't forget to First Launch the server so those files actually exists!.STEAM_USERNAME: If you want to update the game, you might want to set this with some credentials.STEAM_PASSWORD: If you want to update the game, you might want to set this with some credentials.UPDATE_GAME: If you want to update the game, you might want to true.TERM: The interface terminal, setted to xterm. Leave it like this if you dont know what is for, im not here to explain sysadmin stuff.DEBIAN_FRONTEND: Used for non-interactive installations, setted to non-interactive. Leave it like this if you dont know what is for, im not here to explain sysadmin stuff.I know this looks messy, and it is, i had only 2h to make it, but don't worry, i'll polish it in the future.. if people have interest in it ofc, if i don't forget about this like every good developer does with their projects once people stops using them.
I've hidden a secret easter egg in the container, if you find it, i'll give you a free game in Steam.
This is my email: [email protected] and this is my Steam Acc., feel free to ask me or say anything.. (im lonely, please do so).
If you really have the guts to try and update the game with the manager.sh, go ahead, if it doesn't work please let me know, i didn't had time to try that out yet.
The image is ~3GB so prepare your internet connection.
