After you run it you must "docker attach" to the container and run few quick settings: Check for the latest version, download it, create map name, start the server. There is quick menu to do this with few clicks (you should not type any commands there). In case of update, you can update the server file with 2 key-presses (again no commands).
Also you can add bind mount for your mods folder: docker run -itd -p 34197:34197 -v /home/myuser/mods/:/factorio/mods/ xpuctu4/factorio-18
PS: You can detach from the docker console with CTRL-P followed by CTRL-Q
Also It looks like that I must start versioning the container because of the many changes.
Quick start: docker run -it -p 34197:34197 xpuctu4/factorio-18 Press 2 and wait a second to complete Press 3 and wait few more seconds for the server to be downloaded Press 4 to create new map name Press 1 to start the server Press CTRL-P followed by CTRL-Q and have fun.
After everything is configured, by default the server will auto-start in 30 seconds.
With option 5 you can edit the server config files. If you ever need it, you can run bash from within MC ;)
Pro tip: when you start the container, add -v like so: docker run -it -p 34197:34197 -v factorio-maps:/factorio/maps/ xpuctu4/factorio-18 That way you can rm the container and update it to the next version. Your maps will stay safe in the volume.
