xuvin/caliver repository overview

⁠Calibre installed upon Ubuntu base image with s6-overlay.

WorkDir - /config (until 3.40.1.0 - /opt)

Calibre Install path - /app/calibre (until 3.40.1.0 - /opt/calibre)

Volumes - /config/files and /config/lib (until 3.40.1.0 - /opt/config and /opt/lib)

Port - 8080


⁠Environment variables:
  • AUTH_STATUS=enable-auth (default) or disable-auth (no authentication via username and password)
  • ADD_LIB= /config/lib/Books - (until 3.40.1.0 - /opt/lib/Books)
  • USERSQL=users.sqlite
⁠Other Paths:
  • Logfile - config/files/log.file (until 3.40.1.0 - /opt/config/log.file)
  • users.sqlite - config/files/users.sqlite (until 3.40.1.0 - /opt/config/users.sqlite)

Default Username and Password for content server: admin/1234


⁠Editable Settings:
⁠Add more than one Library
  • Add directory paths via ADD_LIB="/Path/to/LibraryONE /Path/to/LibraryTWO
⁠User.sqlite
  • To add/create your own users, you have to follow the following steps:

TwoCreate your own users.sqlite by running calibre-server --userdb /path/to/users.sqlite --manage-users and just follow the prompts to create user accounts, set their permission, etc. Once you are done, copy and paste the new created file.

Edit the existing default users.sqlite by using the above command with your host path, which is linked to the docker container volume (/config/files).
If you choose to use a different file name than users.sqlite, you need to change USERSQL to your choosen file name. (since Tag: 3.26.1.3)
ThreeRestart the container.
