⁠YECI — Your Engine for Coding Intelligence

A lightweight, reproducible development container for AI-assisted coding.

Ships with the major AI coding agents, several language runtimes, and a complete terminal toolchain — every version pinned so builds stay reproducible. The line-up evolves as the tools do; the exact versions in the current build are listed at https://yeci.org/guide/⁠.

⁠Usage

The same image is published to docker.io/yeciorg/yeci, docker.io/tourcoder/yeci (the original repository, still updated with every build) and ghcr.io/yeciorg/yeci (GitHub Container Registry). Use whichever you prefer.

⁠Scrolling and copying in tmux

The container runs inside tmux with mouse support on, so the wheel scrolls and dragging selects within a single pane.

• Copy: drag to select, and the text is copied the moment you release the mouse button. There is no need to press Cmd+C / Ctrl+Shift+C, which copies nothing here.
• Scroll: the wheel scrolls the history of the pane under the pointer. Press q to return to the prompt.

Copied text reaches your computer's clipboard through the OSC 52 escape sequence, which the host terminal has to allow:

To bypass tmux and use the terminal's own selection, hold a modifier key while dragging: Shift in Ghostty, Option in iTerm2. That selection spans whole lines across all panes.

Built for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64. Tags: latest and a dated tag (YYYYMMDD) for every build. Available as docker.io/yeciorg/yeci, docker.io/tourcoder/yeci and ghcr.io/yeciorg/yeci.
