⁠Information

Development docker environment for ambari Containes all maven dependency and hdp packages, modified pom.xml for root project to use local hdp package.Save you build time minimium to 10 minutes

⁠Requirement

The container run need at least 3GB memory , less than 3GB memory will cause build failed!!!

⁠Usage

Run

docker run -d --name ambari -v <you_folder>:/usr/local/app/ambari-dev ysjiang4869/ambari:2.7.3 tail -f /dev/null

Replace <your_folder> with your local development folder

Run

docker exec -it ambari /bin/bash

to enter the container

⁠Development

In container,

1. copy apache-ambari-2.7.3-src to ambari-dev
2. and then develop your project in you local machine,
3. finally enter the docker and run commands in command.txt to build you rpm packages!

Important: please manual run command in command.txt and do not run it as script
