⁠What is it?

This is an OpenTSDB⁠-like time series database, with much better performance. It supports replication and data partition.

⁠How to run it?

To run the container that contains TickTockDB only:

$ docker run -d --ulimit nofile=65536:65536 --ulimit memlock=-1:-1 -p 6180-6183:6180-6183 -p 6181:6181/udp ytyou/ticktock:latest

To run the container that contains TickTockDB, and a built-in Grafana⁠ server:

$ docker run -d --ulimit nofile=65536:65536 --ulimit memlock=-1:-1 -p 3000:3000 -p 6180-6183:6180-6183 -p 6181:6181/udp ytyou/ticktock:latest-grafana

To see the built-in dashboard, point your browser to your docker host at port 3000. The initial username/password is admin/admin. After login, click on the "TickTock Demo" dashboard.

Logs can be found in the container under

/var/lib/ticktock/log/

Configuration file is located in the container at

/var/lib/ticktock/conf/ticktock.conf

Configuration changes will not take effect until after the container is restarted.

⁠How to send metrics to it?

Use TCollector⁠, Telegraf⁠, collectd⁠, or any other collector that works for OpenTSDB, to send metrics to port 6181.

⁠How to query it?

Use Grafana⁠ and select OpenTSDB as the type of your data source. Use port 6182 for query.
