⁠Introduction

yuanboshe/novnc is a lightweight remote desktop system designed to minimize its size.

⁠Naming Conventions

All images are configured by default with the novnc web-based remote desktop accessible through a specific port.

• 22.04: Specifies the Ubuntu version as 22.04.
• code: Indicates inclusion of a code-server accessible through a specific port.
• root: Indicates the default username is "root"; otherwise, the default username is "aicrobo".

Examples:

1. yuanboshe/novnc:22.04-latest - novnc remote desktop based on Ubuntu 22.04, default user "aicrobo".
2. yuanboshe/novnc:code-22.04-latest - novnc remote desktop based on Ubuntu 22.04, with code-server, default user "aicrobo".
3. yuanboshe/novnc:root-22.04-latest - novnc remote desktop based on Ubuntu 22.04, default user "root".
4. yuanboshe/novnc:code-root-22.04-latest - novnc remote desktop based on Ubuntu 22.04, with code-server, default user "root".

The default password is "aicrobo".

⁠Usage

docker run -d --name novnc-code-test --privileged -p 8211:8081 -p 8212:8082 -p 8213:22 yuanboshe/novnc:code-22.04-latest

Notice: Normally, the --privileged flag is not needed, but in some scenarios (like running an older lightweight server), enabling it may resolve desktop display issues.

Access:

• novnc: http://<docker_host_ip>:8211
• code-server: https://<docker_host_ip>:8212
