For use PyQTDesigner in docker

⁠Run the Docker Container with GUI Support 🚀

To run the Docker container with GUI support, you’ll need to configure X11 server access:

⁠Allow connections to X server
xhost +local:docker
⁠Run
docker run -it --rm \
  -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY \
  -e QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb \
  -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix \
  -v $(pwd):/opt/project \
  zaaferani/pyqt-designer:latest pyqt6-tools designer
⁠Convert ui to py file
docker run -it --rm \
  -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY \
  -e QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb  \
  -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix \
  -v $(pwd):/opt/project \
  zaaferani/pyqt-designer:latest pyuic6 -x -o main.py main.ui
⁠Close Connection to X Server (After Usage)

Once you’re done using the GUI application, close the connection to the X server:

xhost -local:docker
