⁠What's in this image?

This image is based on a recent Debian release and features a stock installation of the Zeek distribution into /usr/local/zeek, including zkg and the remaining Zeek toolchain. The /usr/local/zeek/bin folder is in PATH. The image has no custom entrypoint and doesn't automatically run Zeek. To keep the image sizes relatively small, our images also do not ship with a development environment by default.

The main use of the development image is for nightly builds against your Zeek packages or other Zeek-dependent infrastructure, to get an early warning of updates to Zeek breaking things. For regular use, consider using the release images⁠ instead.
