jysgro/pdbminer repository overview

PDBMiner: a tool that searches the PDB and the AF2 database to aid in choosing the best available structure for a given protein to be used for studies/analyses.

It's a tool that, given the information about a protein, queries the PDB, fetches all available structures of the protein, evaluates them using quality metrics that go beyond the resolution but also considers indices like R-factors, sequence coverage, missing residues, etc.

PDBminer also checks for mutations (of interest) in the structures.

The minimum input is just a UniProt ID, and it provides a detailed information about all available structures, ranked based on quality metrics.

PDBminer also provides two additional tools, PDBminer2coverage and PDBminer2network, for the visualization of the data.
