⁠Metered Video React Front-End Demo

This docker container contains the React Front-End of the video chat application built using the Metered Video SDK.

⁠Requirements

You need to have a Metered Video⁠ account, to create an account go to https://www.metered.ca⁠ -> Signup and Start Building and signup for a free account.

After you have signed up, go to your dashboard->Developers from there copy the Metered Domain and Metered Secret Key.

⁠Running the Backend

First you need to download the backend of this application, to download the backend docker container run the following commands:

docker pull metered/python-video-demo

docker run -p 5000:5000 -e METERED_SECRET_KEY=YOUR_METERED_SECRET -e METERED_DOMAIN=YOUR_METERED_DOMAIN metered/python-video-demo

The backend server will be avaliable at http://localhost:5000

⁠Running the front-end

To start the front-end docker container, run the following commands:

docker pull metered/react-video-demo

docker run -p 3000:3000 metered/react-video-demo

The front-end will be avalialbe at http://localhost:3000

⁠Updating API Location

The front-end connects to the backend server, the default location is set to http://localhost:5000 if you want to change the backend location then update the API_LOCATION environment variable.

e.g:

docker run -p 3000:3000 -e API_LOCATION="http://localhost:9000" metered/react-video-demo
