Client component of gust air gap system.
54
The Gust Client component of the Gust air gapped system reaches out to the server to request selected files from that it is securely holding to be transferred to the client component.
The Client is designed to be deployed inside of the air gapped network. It is recommended that the server only has 2 connections, one connected to the server to request and receive files and the second to the a secure file storage location preferably passed through a combination of monitoring and / or physical security devices.
It is recommended that the Gust Client is deployed with a minimal level of persistence to allow clients to easily move and access the stored files.
Note: The current solution to this is persistent volumes however the goal is to use a more secure and robust method in the future
There are 2 exposed ports:
11811 - This is the gust transfer port used to connect the server to the client and transfer communications and files securely80 - This port is currently unused but may potentially be used for a web ui in the future for users to connect to and download the filesIt is optional if you want to deploy volumes and the server will function without them, however if you want access to data files on the host machine you could bind the following volumes:
/apps/gust_server/data/downloads - This directory holds the hash checked transferred files to be moved by the host device/apps/gust_core/data/logs - This directory allows you to store a local copy of the log fileDownload the corresponding server docker here: https://hub.docker.com/r/samclutterbuck/gust_server
