⁠idle-less reverse-proxy

An nginx-based reverse proxy with automatic Wake-on-LAN integration. Part of the idle-less⁠ project.

⁠What it does

Routes traffic to your backend servers. When a backend is sleeping, it redirects to Wakeforce⁠ which sends a Wake-on-LAN packet and shows a waiting screen.

⁠Quick start

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tvup/idle-less/master/install.sh | bash

Or use Docker Compose directly:

⁠Features

Multi-domain routing — unlimited domains via DOMAIN_{i}_* env pattern
SSL termination — Let's Encrypt compatible certificate mounting
HTTPS backends — proxy to both HTTP and HTTPS origins
Wakeforce integration — automatic failover to WoL gateway when backends are down
Multi-platform — native linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 images

⁠Configuration

Configuration is done via environment variables:

`DOMAIN_1_USE_HTTPS`	Backend uses HTTPS	`no`
`DOMAIN_1_CONFIG`	Config type (`wakeforce` or `default`)	`wakeforce`
`DOMAIN_1_IDLE_SERVICE`	Wakeforce service address	`wakeforce_1:8182`
`DOMAIN_1_NO_WAKE_PATTERNS`	URI prefixes that skip WoL (pipe-separated)	`/health\|/api/agents/chat/status`
