⁠MERLIN

MERLIN is packaged as a Docker image and can be run locally with minimal setup. The application uses a local Ollama instance for LLM inference, so please ensure Ollama is installed and the required model is available before starting the container.

⁠Prerequisites

1. Install Ollama:

   • https://ollama.com⁠

2. Start the Ollama service:

ollama serve

1. Pull the required model:

ollama pull llama3.1:8b

⁠Running MERLIN

Pull the latest Docker image:

docker pull yanshanwang/merlin:latest

Start the container:

docker run -d \
  --name merlin-app \
  --add-host host.docker.internal:host-gateway \
  -p 5005:5005 \
  -e OLLAMA_BASE_URL=http://host.docker.internal:11434 \
  yanshanwang/merlin:latest

⁠Access the Application

Once the container is running, open your browser and navigate to:

http://localhost:5005

⁠Notes

• MERLIN communicates with a locally running Ollama server through the OLLAMA_BASE_URL environment variable.
• Ensure that the llama3.1:8b model has been downloaded before launching the application.
• If you encounter connection issues, verify that Ollama is running and accessible at http://localhost:11434.
